Doula Services |
 The role of the doula is to offer nurturing support and guidance through the birthing process - to ensure that the birth experience is the best that it possibly can be by making certain it is approached with confidence, joy, and preparedness. Designed for first time parents, this series consists of 6 two-hour weekly evening classes, including a hospital tour. Using interactive, hands-on curriculum, some of the topics covered include: normal pregnancy, labour, comfort measures, breastfeeding, and mother and baby care in the first four to six weeks after Babies birth. Common medical interventions and variations will also be discussed.

Families expecting a subsequent baby, who would like a quick refresher to prepare for this next birth, will find this one evening class the perfect solution. Whether preparing for a home or a hospital birth, this class will help you remember what worked and what didn’t work with previous birth/s, providing opportunities to explore new options for the upcoming birth. Also covered is preparing to welcome this new baby into your present family. 
The private prenatal class option is designed for the family that cannot make it to regular prenatal classes or just feels more comfortable discussing this topic in the privacy of their own home.
